Paige McCord was hired as the new High School Volleyball Coach in July 2025. She is a 2015 graduate of AIS and was a key member of the two district championship volleyball teams in 2012 and 2013. Coach McCord was an assistant with the high school girls basketball team from 2023-2025 and is the Health & PE Teacher at Augusta Independent School.
On Wednesday, August 14, a parent/guardian of all Augusta students planning to play on a middle school or high school team this coming school year needs to attend the Athletics Read-i-Fest.
